I travelled Sri Lanka (an amazing trip but that’s a story for another time) and visited Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Centre. My father-in-law was so amused by my animated excitement about seeing the turtles and releasing a baby sea turtle, that he gave me a toy sea turtle for Christmas that year. I immediately christened him Tommy and he because our mascot.
Since then Tommy has travelled the world, been on many adventures and survived a few close calls.
